The short list below is not another planning guide.  You can find fantastic wedding guides at the local bookstore, Amazon, or on many websites that specialize in these guides.  Our list is different.  Dedicated to what we have found to be best practice for our local Wine Country Community.  We have a large selection of venues and professionals to support your day.  But the best places and best people get booked first and fast.  Our list is a recommendation of what you should do in the order that makes sense for our community from years of local experience.  It’s just a guide!  Modify it to meet your unique needs.

What to book

    When
Wedding Coordinator
  • If you decide to use a Wedding Coordinator, book them first.
  • Many of the local wineries have their own list of coordinators.  You may want to check with them
    12-18 months
Venue
  • Hold the date.  Once booked for a wedding the date is no longer available
  • You can select the details later like food and decorations
   12-18 months
Photographer and Video
  • Great photographers will book the popular dates over a year out 
  • Your photos will provide memories that last a lifetime
  •  Select early and book a professional
    9-18 months
D.J. or Entertainment   
  • Check with your venue or coordinator for a list of qualified or list of recommended D.J.'s 
   6-12 months
Wedding Dress - Color Template    
  • Give your bridesmaids and groomsmen the time needed to get their act together.  Selecting your wedding dress and color template will help everyone coordinate
    8-12 months
Florist
  • Don't wait to the last minute to get those flowers selected.  It will help you with color template selection and provide the venue with how your want to coordinate your theme
    8-12 months

By no stretch is this meant to be a complete list.   However this is what we found to be the best cadence of the most important places and people to lock in for your wedding day.  Most on this list cannot perform multiple weddings during a single day and some really good vendors only book one wedding a week.  So use this short Temecula Valley Wine Country booking list as a guide to get the most important selections completed on time.
